Faculty and Students from the College of Urban Transportation and Logistics Attend the International Conference DILSCM 2025 in Guangzhou

On November 8, theInternational Conference on Digital-Intelligent Transportation and Logistics Supply Chain Management — Technology Empowering the Transformation of Modern Transportation Systems (DILSCM 2025)was grandly held at the South Campus of Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou. Guided by the China Communications and Transportation Association, the China Society of Logistics, and the Operations Research Society of China, the conference was jointly organized by the Guangdong Operations Research Society, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Applied Mathematics Center, and the Applied Mathematics Research Center of the Institute for Advanced Study at Sun Yat-sen University. It wasco-hosted by the Transportation and Logistics Branch of the Guangdong Operations Research Society and the College of Urban Transportation and Logistics, Shenzhen Technology University. Focused on the innovative development of transportation, logistics and supply chains amid the new round of technological revolution, the event brought together numerous experts and scholars from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and overseas to explore innovative pathways for building a safe, efficient and green modern transportation system. As a co-host, the College sent a delegation of 12 faculty members and students, led byProfessor Franz Raps, Dean of the College, and Professor Luo Qin, Party Secretary of the College, to participate in the conference.

On the morning of November 8, Professor Luo Qin presided over the opening ceremony. During the keynote session that followed, Professor Franz Raps delivered a keynote speech titledResearch and Practice in Integrated Supply Chain Management, sharing the latest international developments in supply chain management research and practice, demonstrating profound academic accumulation and cutting-edge global vision.

In the afternoon, Associate Professors Li Baicheng and Lei Tian from the College, as initiators, respectively chaired and presented at the sub-forums on Urban Transportation-Logistics Integration and Transportation-Energy Integration. The sub-forums featured presentations by faculty and students from renowned domestic and overseas institutions, including The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), The University of Hong Kong, South China University of Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangdong University of Technology, Guangzhou Maritime University/Guangzhou Jiaotong University (in preparation), Guangzhou Civil Aviation College, and Guangdong University of Finance. In addition, Associate Professor He Yuxin from the College presented a research report on metro network condition sensing and travel behavior at the Smart Urban Rail Transit Systems sub-forum. Associate Professor Gong Lei, postgraduate and undergraduate students Lin Jie, Zhou Qunzhi, Wu Xinping, Pu Shaomeng, Liu Yuan, as well as X-Talent Program participants Zheng Jinquan and Cao Wenbin, also presented papers at the conference.

This participation not only fully showcased the College’s research strength and cutting-edge achievements in digital-intelligent transportation, supply chain collaboration and urban logistics integration, but also further deepened academic ties and cooperation foundations with top universities and research institutions in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It helped faculty and students broaden their international horizons and better grasp the latest developments and technological trends in intelligent transportation and green logistics
