Tailored to the development needs of the automotive industry, Vehicle Engineering sticks to its core disciplinary features and advantageous research areas with appropriate disciplinary coverage and rational resource aggregation. The program fosters engineering professionals with strong social responsibility and engineering ethics, solid foundational knowledge in mathematics, mechanics and other natural sciences, sound humanistic literacy, as well as global vision and cross-border communication competence. Three concentrations are offered: New Energy Vehicle Technology, Intelligent Vehicle Technology, and Automotive Technology & Intelligent Services. It is listed as an Industry-Education Integration Pilot Major by MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China).

As a state-established undergraduate major under the Aerospace discipline, Unmanned Aircraft System Engineering is an emerging engineering program integrating Aeronautical & Astronautical Science with Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering, Electronic Information, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, new energy and advanced materials. Aligned with national, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Shenzhen’s strategic development of UAV industry, low-altitude economy and advanced intelligent manufacturing clusters, it provides two concentrations: UAV Design & Intelligent Manufacturing Technology, and UAV Application Technology & Equipment.
The program develops high-quality interdisciplinary and application-oriented specialists proficient in core theories covering UAV structural design & manufacturing, intelligent perception, human-machine interaction, flight control, operational deployment and airworthiness safety. Graduates are competent in design, R&D, engineering application, administration and maintenance of UAV platforms, mission payloads and operation control systems to solve practical engineering problems, equipped with social responsibility, humanistic accomplishment, professional ethics, international outlook, craftsmanship spirit, innovation, entrepreneurship and teamwork skills.
The program is supported by the Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center for Intelligent Terminal Precision Components of Transportation Equipment and the Shenzhen Pilot Base for UAV Equipment Technology Application & Service (Shenzhen University of Technology).
