On April 29, 2025, Dr. Steffen Klarmann, Advanced Industrial Director Manager of Valeo Schalter und Sensoren GmbH, visited the College of Urban Transportation and Logistics for exchange and conducted a talent training exchange seminar. Professor Franz Raps, Dean of the College, Associate Professor Yin Xiaohong, Vice Dean, Associate Professor Ma Zhengwei, Vice Dean, Su Wen Deputy Director of the School Enterprise and International Cooperation Office, and Lv Qianxiu from the SZTU International Cooperation and Exchange Office warmly welcomed Dr. Klarmann. Both parties exchanged and shared experiences in talent cultivation and exchange, and had in-depth discussions on the future cooperation between Valeo (Germany) and the CUTL in terms of graduate and intern exchange.
After the self-introductions of the attendees from both sides, Dean Franz warmly welcomed Dr. Klarmann's visit and introduced the university's educational characteristics and German model, as well as the characteristics and goals of the college in talent cultivation. Next, Dr. Klarmann introduced the basic situation of Valeo (Germany) and its exchange and graduate programs.
Both parties affirmed the necessity and importance of cooperation in talent exchange, especially in the areas of graduate students, interns, and academic exchange students. They also discussed and sought solutions to various issues related to the transfer of graduate students and exchange students from Valeo (Germany) to our institution, as well as the transfer of graduate students and interns from our college to Valeo (Germany) and its related universities, fully exploring the needs of both parties.
Finally, the college leaders led Dr. Klarmann to visit characteristic laboratories such as the Racing Studio, Intelligent Connected Vehicle Laboratory, Rail Transit Operation and Control Integration Laboratory, and SF Industrial College Training Base Laboratory. The visit and communication ended smoothly in a harmonious atmosphere.
